Encyclopedia of Kurdistan’s Prominent Names

Recently, the author and journalist Momtaz Haidari, who is editor- in- chief of (K21) and (Layla Zana and Layla Qasim) magazines, published a semi-large encyclopedia about 144 Kurdistan’s prominent personalities. It’s the first print of such a great production.

In fact works of this type cannot be achieved by a single person, but Momtaz Haidari promised to conduct this great work all by himself. We hope he keeps on the project. He also publishes a quarterly documentary magazine in Hawler too.

Momtaz Haidari has been working for many years in journalism and preserving books, newspapers and doing research. This kind of work could be listed into the historic efforts in the field of culture of Kurdistan, because printing books of this kind, which shed light on the life, work and significance of these personalities in the community in detail, will be important sources for those working within the academic field. They can also encourage and provide stimulus for the intellectuals as well.
