KRG spokesman vis­its Yashar Ka­mal

KRG Prime Min­is­ter Barzani re­as­sures him­self about the health of Kur­dish writer Yashar Ka­mal.

KRG Prime Min­is­ter, Nechir­van Barzani, re­as­sured him­self about the health con­di­tion of the Turk­ish-Kur­dish prom­i­nent writer Yashar Ka­mal, who is in a Turk­ish hos­pi­tal, wish­ing him a speedy re­cov­ery.

A state­ment of the Pres­i­dency of the Re­gional Gov­ern­ment re­ceived by "The Kur­dish­globe", reads ” the of­fi­cial spokesman for the Gov­ern­ment of Kur­dis­tan Re­gion, Safeen Diza­yee, vis­ited Tues­day the Kur­dish writer Yashar Ka­mal in the hos­pi­tal in or­der to check on his health, and was re­ceived by the wife of the au­thor, Aisha Ba­bani.

The state­ment said that Diza­yee con­veyed PM Barzani’s re­gards and greet­ings to the great writer and his fam­ily, and his wishes for a speedy re­cov­ery.

Yashar Ka­mal is one of the prom­i­nent Kur­dish writ­ers who have al­ways de­fended the rights of the Kur­dish peo­ple through nov­els and sto­ries. He has sought to show the suf­fer­ings of the peo­ple of the world. He has trans­lated his writ­ings into sev­eral in­ter­na­tional lan­guages. Yashar Ka­mal was one of the can­di­dates to win the Noble prize in lit­er­a­ture in the eight­ies of the last cen­tury.
