President Barzani visits the former Kurdish communist leader
On March 5, the President of Kurdistan Region, Massoud Barzani, visited the Kurdish politician and ex-communist leader, Aziz Mohammed, at his home in Erbil.
Barzani's visit aimed at getting closely acquainted with Mohammed's health condition. Barzani regarded Mohammed's role in Kurdish and Iraqi political life important and wished a joyful and healthy life for him.
Mohammed was one of the great Kurdish leaders who played crucial role in the Kurdish revolutions in the early 1970s. He was known to be the best mediator among the political parties struggling in the 1990s.
