More than IQD200 tril­lion is mov­ing in­side Kur­dis­tan

Direc­tor of Kur­dis­tan Re­gion’s Cen­tral bank an­nounced that there are more than IQD200 tril­lion in­side Kur­dis­tan Re­gion.

Ad­ham Karim Dar­wesh, Direc­tor of Kur­dis­tan Re­gion’s Cen­tral Bank says ac­cord­ing to their es­ti­mates there is enough Iraqi Di­nars in Kur­dis­tan Re­gion mar­kets and peo­ple are us­ing this amount for their trad­ing ac­tiv­i­ties and there are no liq­uid­ity con­cerns in Kur­dis­tan.

“Some of the notes are old and torn, but we take it back from the peo­ple and change them to new notes,” Dar­wesh said.

Dar­wesh said the new printed Iraqi Di­nar notes are avail­able in Kur­dis­tan as well.

“Ac­cord­ing to the con­sti­tu­tion, bank notes should have Kur­dish lan­guage and signs on it, but the new 10,000 notes do not have Kur­dish lan­guage on them,” Dar­wesh ar­gued. “Other new notes will be printed and are sup­posed to have Kur­dish lan­guage on them.”
