Over 6000 women de­tained in Syria

Ac­cord­ing to sta­tis­ti­cal data re­leased by Syr­ian Per­spec­tive for Hu­man Rights, 6,580 women have been de­tained by the Syr­ian gov­ern­ment.

Based on the re­port, there are many chil­dren with the de­tained women. The rea­son for their detention is be­cause their hus­bands and sons joined Free Syr­ian Army.

Due to the con­flicts in Syria, thou­sands of women have been killed and far more have taken shel­ter in neigh­bor­ing coun­tries, in­clud­ing Turkey, Kur­dis­tan Re­gion, Jor­dan and Le­banon.
