The Kurdish Globe - - NEWS -

Kurdistan Region Prime Minister, Nechirvan Barzani, received the Islamic Republic of Iran’s border guard General Commander, General Qasem Rezai, and his accompanying high-ranked military delegation which included Iran’s borders guard commanders as well as the Commander of Iraq’s border guards, Major General Abdulkarim Mustafa, and the Commander of the Kurdistan Region's border guards, Major Gen- eral Sherko.

The delegation presented the latest information about the conditions of border-crossing points between Iran-Iraq borders in general and Iran- Kurdistan Region borders in particular.

The delegation discussed bilateral relations between Islamic Republic of Iran and Kurdistan Region, and ways to develop those relations and enhance the protection of the security of the borderlines.

Prime Minister Barzani pointed to the old relations between Kurdistan Region and Islamic Republic of Iran, describing them as good and positive.

He emphasized on strengthening bilateral relations and enhancing the security conditions on the borders, as well as preventing any undesirable event. In this regard, Prime Minister expressed KRG’s support for the visiting delegation.
