"IS though they could invade Kurdistan Region easily, but the people of Kurdistan and the Peshmerga, who are always a source of pride, have been able to dispel the myth of terrorists and defeat them on all fronts," said Barzani.

He added "There is international sympathy for the people of Kurdistan and we should take a lesson from what happened in order to end the disasters that took place and start a new page,"

In regard to the displaced in the Region, President Barzani stressed that it is a national and humanitarian duty to help the displaced people.

On the other hand, the attendees thanked President Barzani and appreciated his role and the role of Peshmerga forces who sacrifice their lives in order to protect national and religious components. They also paid their tribute to the people of Kurdistan and the government for embracing such a large number of displaced people.
