Sweden to send experts for training Pehsmerga
Sweden is considering sending experts and trainers t to support Peshmerga forces in the fight against Islamic State (ISIS) in Iraq.
On June 3, a bill was approved by the Swedish parliament concerning supporting Kurdish Peshmerga forces.
Based on the bill, the Swedish Government will be engaged in training missions inside the Kurdistan Region through sending 120 qualified high ranking officers and trainers to Erbil for training Peshmerga forces.
Kurdistan Regional Government's (KRG) Representative in Sweden, Sorish Qader Raheem, said "The decision of sending trainers by Swedish Parliament to Kurdistan Region is very important. It is not only crucial in military respects, but it is vital in political values as well."
