Kuwait Con­sul Gen­eral com­menced work in Er­bil

Last week, Omar Ahmed, Con­sul Gen­eral of Kuwait in Er­bil of­fi­cially com­menced his new job and sub­mit­ted his com­mence­ment let­ter to Min­is­ter Falah Mustafa, Head of the Depart­ment of For­eign Re­la­tions (DFR) of the Kur­dis­tan Re­gional Gov­ern­ment (KRG).

Con­sul Gen­eral Ahmed passed spe­cial re­gards from the Kuwaiti For­eign Re­la­tions Min­is­ter to Min­is­ter Mustafa and talked about the re­la­tions be­tween Kur­dis­tan Re­gion and his coun­try.

The newly as­signed Kuwaiti con­sul in Er­bil pre­sented his ob­jec­tives as be­ing to im­prove bi­lat­eral eco­nomic and cul­tural ties be­tween the two coun­tries.

Min­is­ter Mustafa, on the other hands, re­it­er­ated his of­fice and gov­ern­ment’s full sup­port for the fa­cilita- tion in their ac­tiv­i­ties and achiev­ing their ob­jec­tives.

DFR Head also talked about the im­por­tant role Kuwait is play­ing in pro­vid­ing hu­man­i­tar­ian sup­port for the Syr­ian refugees and em­pha­sized the need for or­ga­niz­ing a donor coun­tries’ con­fer­ence to col­lect aid for the refugees and in­ter­nally dis­placed per­sons.
