Pres­i­dent Barzani an­swers in­quiries on fall of Mo­sul

Kur­dis­tan Re­gion Pres­i­dent, Ma­soud Barzani, an­swered the ques­tions raised by the par­lia­men­tary com­mit­tee re­spon­si­ble for in­ves­ti­gat­ing the fall of Mo­sul to Is­lamic State (ISIS) forces.

"Af­ter the Kur­dis­tan Re­gion Pres­i­dency re­jected to an­swer the com­mit­tee's in­quires, the com­mit­tee once again di­rected the in­quiries to Kur­dis­tan Pres­i­dency. This time the Pres­i­dency an­swered the in­quiries. I sub­mit­ted the an­swers to the com­mit­tee," Deputy Head of the par­lia- mentary com­mit­tee, Shakhawan Ab­dul­lah, told The Kur­dish Globe

Ab­dul­lah also said Barza­ani's an­swers show his ap­proval to send Pesh­merga to Mo­sul in or­der the city would not be con­trolled by Is­lamic State fight­ers, buy for­mer Iraqi Prime Min­is­ter, Nuri al-Ma­liki made ob­sta­cles.

"We will try to pre­pare the fi­nal re­port in or­der to sub­mit it to Par­lia­ment in 10 days," Ab­dul­lah re­vealed
