President Barzani answers inquiries on fall of Mosul
Kurdistan Region President, Masoud Barzani, answered the questions raised by the parliamentary committee responsible for investigating the fall of Mosul to Islamic State (ISIS) forces.
"After the Kurdistan Region Presidency rejected to answer the committee's inquires, the committee once again directed the inquiries to Kurdistan Presidency. This time the Presidency answered the inquiries. I submitted the answers to the committee," Deputy Head of the parlia- mentary committee, Shakhawan Abdullah, told The Kurdish Globe
Abdullah also said Barzaani's answers show his approval to send Peshmerga to Mosul in order the city would not be controlled by Islamic State fighters, buy former Iraqi Prime Minister, Nuri al-Maliki made obstacles.
"We will try to prepare the final report in order to submit it to Parliament in 10 days," Abdullah revealed
