Mi­rani hails US sup­port to Kur­dish forces

The Sec­re­tary of the Kur­dis­tan Demo­cratic Party (KDP) Polit­buro, Fazil Mi­rani, re­ceived the for­mer U.S. Con­gress­man David Lin­coln, in Er­bil. Mi­rani said KDP forces would use their bat­tle­ground ex­pe­ri­ence to pro­tect the in­ter­ests of Kur­dis­tan, as well as the on­go­ing dis­putes be­tween Er­bil and Bagh­dad where it was noted that ex­ter­nal in­ter­fer­ences are af­fect­ing in­te­rior re­la­tions in Kur­dis­tan and Iraq.

Mi­rani stated that the world needs to pro­vide fur­ther mil­i­tary as­sis­tance to Kur­dis­tan, while thank­ing the peo­ple and the gov­ern­ment of the United States of Amer­ica for their as­sis­tance.

The meet­ing was fi­nal- ized with Lin­coln thank­ing Mi­rani for the meet­ing, and praised the ac­tions and courage of Pesh­merga forces, as well as prais­ing the de­ter­mi­na­tion of the Kur­dish peo­ple for the sta­ble sit­u­a­tion in the re­gion. Lin­coln is cur­rently lob­by­ing for an in­crease in arms and sup­port for Pesh­merga forces.
