Kur­dis­tan Re­gion pres­i­dency con­demns Pr­sus at­tack

Kur­dis­tan Re­gion pres­i­dency is­sued a state­ment on July 20 con­demn­ing the at­tack in south­ern Turk­ish town of Pirsûs, in which at least 32 peo­ple were killed and up to 100 oth­ers were wounded.

The state­ment said, "Barzani strongly con­demns that bru­tal act” in the pre­dom­i­nantly Kur­dish town, lo­cated across the Turk­ish-Syr­ian bor­der from Kobane.

“Killing peo­ple and car­ry­ing out cruel acts mean the de­feat of ter­ror­ists. We are sure ter­ror­ist acts like this will strengthen the will of peo­ple more,” the state­ment said.

The Kur­dis­tan Par­lia­ment also con­demned the at­tack, stat­ing “Such acts will not weaken the will of the Kur­dish peo­ple.”
