Pres­i­dent Barzani Con­demns Paris At­tacks

Kur­dis­tan Re­gion Pres­i­dent Mas­soud Barzani sent con­do­lences to French Pres­i­dent François Hol­lande af­ter Fri­day night’s ter­ror­ist at­tacks in Paris that left 120 peo­ple dead and over 200 in­jured.

In a state­ment, Pres­i­dent Barzani said the Fri­day night ter­ror­ist at­tacks in the French cap­i­tal had shocked and sad­dened the peo­ple of the Kur­dis­tan Re­gion of Iraq.

“On Be­half of the Kur­dish peo­ple I send our con­do­lences to you and the French pub­lic,” said Barzani.

“The ter­ror­ists are our com­mon enemy; they are against any hu­man val­ues and if they see progress and sta­bil­ity they at­tack it,” he added.

He also said that Kur­dish peo­ple, cur­rently fac­ing the war against Is­lamic State, stand with France and fully sup­port the French gov­ern­ment.
