President Barzani Condemns Paris Attacks
Kurdistan Region President Massoud Barzani sent condolences to French President François Hollande after Friday night’s terrorist attacks in Paris that left 120 people dead and over 200 injured.
In a statement, President Barzani said the Friday night terrorist attacks in the French capital had shocked and saddened the people of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.
“On Behalf of the Kurdish people I send our condolences to you and the French public,” said Barzani.
“The terrorists are our common enemy; they are against any human values and if they see progress and stability they attack it,” he added.
He also said that Kurdish people, currently facing the war against Islamic State, stand with France and fully support the French government.
