Most political parties said that the last meeting of the political parties> leaders was more successful that the previous one.

“The meeting was more successful that the previous one and we think it will become start for resolving the issues and reorganizing the parties” Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) politburo member, Saadi Pira said. “Barzani showed his readiness for solving the presidency issues. He said he is ready to leave his post for someone agreed by all the parties. Generally he said he re- spects any decision the parties make.»

Pira disclosed that a committee consisting of nine members has been formed for reactivating parliament, solving interparty disputes, and for preparing a project for conducting a referendum for independence.

Kurdistan Communist Party spokesman, Baba Ali Jabbari, also said the meeting was an important one in which Barzani asked all the parties to cooperate in resolving the current issues.

«The financial crisis is not only in Kurdistan Re- gion but it exists in most of the countries in the world,” Ali Jabbari said. “I can say it is an international crisis. We need time to work on reformation in the government agencies and through finding a mechanism for solving the problems.»

Kurdistan Islamic Movement spokesman, Abdullah Warti, said this meeting was significant as all parties were able to express their opinion with Kurdish leadership looking for serious solutions for each issue.
