Last Thursday, an Iraqi Kurdish Yazidi Parliament member, Vian Dakhil burst in to tears after she was insulted by Majid al-Gharawi, an MP from Sadr Bloc.

According to sources, al-Gharawi said: "The Yazidi girls can become Sabaya (women captured in war) and get distributed among strikers protesting in front of Green Zone.”

Dakhil criticized alGharawi for having such an insensitive view to- ward minorities in the country.

"I wonder if Muqtada alSadr will accept someone like al-Gharawi representing his bloc. I wonder if the strikers in front of Green Zone have gathered for national purposes or they have other aims.,” said Dakhil.

The Sadr Bloc has been asked to apologize.
