Yazidi Leader Ap­pre­ci­ate Pesh­merga Role in Fight against ISIS

Mir Tahsin Beg, leader of the Yazidi com­mu­nity and the suc­ces­sor of his fa­ther Saied Beg, ap­pre­ci­ated the role played by Pesh­merga forces in the fight against Is­lamic State (ISIS).

Beg , who is in Ger­many for re­ceiv­ing med­i­cal treat­ment, said "I would like to come back to Kur­dis­tan Re­gion but the physi­cians still need to watch my con­di­tion and tell me I should be fully cured be­fore I travel,"

Beg said that all the po­lit­i­cal par­ties es­pe­cially Kur­dis­tan Demo­cratic Party (KDP) and Pa­tri­otic Union of Kur­dis­tan (PUK) need to take good care of the Yazidi peo­ple who have suf­fered a lot in the past cou­ple years.

He ap­pre­ci­ated the peo­ple of Kur­dis­tan es­pe­cially peo­ple if Duhok Prov­ince for em­brac­ing a huge num­ber of refugees and dis­placed peo­ple.

Con­cern­ing the fu­ture of Shin­gal Town, Beg prefers the town not to be sep­a­rated from Kur­dis­tan Re­gion but he said peo­ple's opin­ions need to be taken into con­sid­er­a­tion.

When asked what he thinks about the Iraqi Govern­ment, Beg replied with only a sin­gle word of "I don't Know".

Beg asked the Yazidi peo­ple to stop mi­grat­ing to Euro­pean coun­tries and not to leave Kur­dis­tan Re­gion.

"Life is very dif­fi­cult out­side. I ad­vise Yazidis not to leave Kur­dis­tan. If things are get­ting bet­ter, I am sure ev­ery­body's rights will be pro­tected." He said
