Yazidi Leader Appreciate Peshmerga Role in Fight against ISIS
Mir Tahsin Beg, leader of the Yazidi community and the successor of his father Saied Beg, appreciated the role played by Peshmerga forces in the fight against Islamic State (ISIS).
Beg , who is in Germany for receiving medical treatment, said "I would like to come back to Kurdistan Region but the physicians still need to watch my condition and tell me I should be fully cured before I travel,"
Beg said that all the political parties especially Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) and Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) need to take good care of the Yazidi people who have suffered a lot in the past couple years.
He appreciated the people of Kurdistan especially people if Duhok Province for embracing a huge number of refugees and displaced people.
Concerning the future of Shingal Town, Beg prefers the town not to be separated from Kurdistan Region but he said people's opinions need to be taken into consideration.
When asked what he thinks about the Iraqi Government, Beg replied with only a single word of "I don't Know".
Beg asked the Yazidi people to stop migrating to European countries and not to leave Kurdistan Region.
"Life is very difficult outside. I advise Yazidis not to leave Kurdistan. If things are getting better, I am sure everybody's rights will be protected." He said
