At­tor­ney Gen­eral Is­sues Ar­rest War­rant for Gor­ran Leader

The At­tor­ney Gen­eral in Kur­dis­tan Re­gion is­sued a war­rant to ar­rest the Gen­eral Co­or­di­na­tor of Gor­ran (Change move­ment) af­ter it called him a few times to ap­pear in court on charges of al­leged plots against the for­eign representation and con­sulate of­fices in Kur­dis­tan Re­gion.

Naw­shir­wan Mustafa, the leader of Gor­ran has lately been re­peat­edly asked by the At­tor­ney Gen­eral in Kur­dis­tan Re­gion to ap­pear in court in or­der to pro­vide ex­pla­na­tion on the record­ings pre­vi­ously leaked, in which he speaks about at­tack­ing con­sulates and for­eign representation of­fices ex­ist­ing in the Kur­dis­tan Re­gion.

Ac­cord­ing to Kur­dis­tan24 and the At­tor­ney Gen­eral, Mustafa has sev­eral times been called to ap­pear in court, but he never re­sponded.

Kur­dis­tan Demo­cratic Party (KDP) me­dia out­lets pre­vi­ously re­leased video and au­dio record­ings as ev­i­dences to claim that Gor­ran’s Gen­eral-Co­or­di­na­tor Naw­shir­wan Mustafa speaks about a plot to at­tack con­sulates and for­eign representation of­fices in Kur­dis­tan Re­gion by mob at­tacks.

Of­fi­cials from Gor­ran pre­vi­ously told BasNews that Mustafa would per­son­ally de­cide on the case whether to at­tend the court or not, and they also said that "the au­dio record­ings have been crafted with tech­nol­ogy."
