KIU Not Be­come Part of Gor­ran-PUK Agree­ment

Kur­dis­tan Is­lamic Union (KIU) mem­ber, Hiwa Mirza, said that Gor­ran-PUK agree­ment is against a spe­cific po­lit­i­cal party.

Mirza also said that the agree­ment is for the po­lit­i­cal in­ter­ests and his party will not be­come a part of the agree­ment.

The Pa­tri­otic Union of Kur­dis­tan (PUK) and its break­away Change Move­ment (Gor­ran) signed an im­por­tant agree­ment Tues­day, end­ing seven years of sep­a­ra­tion, po­lit­i­cal stale­mate and ri­valry.

The of­fi­cial sign­ing in the city of Su­laimani came af­ter both the PUK and Gor­ran lead­er­ships sep­a­rately ap­proved the agree­ment Satur­day to de­velop re­la­tions.
