COSTUME DRAMA STARS FROM GLADYS SHEEHAN SCHOOL Local actors appear in TV’s ‘The Tudors’
THE TALENTED children from the Gladys Sheehan School of Acting have once again been featuring heavily in the filming of the latest series of television success, The Tudors, at Ardmore Studios.
Hannah Gibbons, aged nine and Vicki Cremins, aged seven, were both selected for their ability to cry on demand, according to their proud teacher. ‘I’m told they are the best cryers in the business,’ said Gladys.
Other pupils of the wellknown drama teacher to appear in the drama are John Grenahan (15) and 17-year-old Hayley Gibbons. All of the actors were finished their scenes by Tuesday.
One parent with a child in Gladys’s class said that the confidence the children get from taking part in plays, films and television programmes is of huge benefit. ‘It is something that will stay with them for the rest of their lives,’ said the mother.
Students from Gladys’s schools have taken part in the first two seasons of The Tudors, which have already aired both in America and on TV3, and filming is now underway for series three.
