Hunt is on for Ireland’s greatest grandparents
THE RACE is on to find Ireland’s greatest grandparents. Friends of the Elderly with Specsavers are calling for nominations to find the ‘Greatest Grandparent or Grandparents in Ireland.’
The results and sponsored prizes will be announced on Grandparents’ Day, which is Sunday September 28.
If you have a heart-warming story to describe your wonderful grandparents then sent it to organisers now and they will get the recognition they deserve. Every grandparent nominated will receive a certificate of merit signed by Maire Hoc- tor, Minister of State With Responsibility for the Older Person and there will be great prizes for the winner.
Send your nomination in less than 100 words to Dermot Kirwan, Friends of the Elderly, 25 Bolton Street, Dublin 1 or send an email to email@example.com. You can also call Dermot on ( 01) 8731855. Closing date is Wednesday September 17.
