McShane makes loan move to Hull
PAUL MCSHANE has joined Hull City on loan for the season.
The 22- year- old Kilpedder man has signed for the Premier League new boys until May.
McShane made 21 appearances for Sunderland last season after being signed by Roy Keane from West Brom but he then suffered a horror injury during the summer, fracturing his knee cap, and was forced to sit out pre- season on Wearside.
The former St. David’s student, who has 11 caps for the Republic of Ireland and was included in Giovanni Trapattoni Ireland squad for the forthcoming games against Georgia and Montenegro, didn’t feature in Hull’s 5-0 thrash- ing at the hands of Wigan Athletic but for Hull fans and especially Hull manager Phil Brown, the sooner he takes to the filed the better.
‘ We were without three of our new signings on Saturday for various reasons. That showed, and we had to put a “Championship” team out.
‘That was exploited, not by the quality in front of goal, but by the lack of detail. That detail was something we were good at last year.
‘ But the Premier League punishes you and when you make a mistake, even if it’s only a slight one, it gets punished. Hopefully Paul McShane will bring that Premier League mentality with him.’
