Well done to the U-14s who put in a great performance on Monday and defeated Avondale in the League on a scoreline of 8-1 to 4-0. The U-16s didn’t play on Wednesday as Knockananna couldn’t field. On Friday unfortunately we didn’t have enough U-12 B players to fufill our fixture. With everybody back in school this week hopefully this will be rectified.

Good luck to our U-12s who play Glenealy in the refixed semi-final of the U-12 B Championship on Tuesday. The U-16s play Kiltegan in the quarter-final of the Shield on Wednesday. Good luck to the Intermediates who play in the final of their Shield on Sunday evening. This will be in Annacurra at 5.45 p.m. The U-10s play their last game in the Dublin League on Sunday morning v. Thomas Davis.

Our annual trip to the All-Ireland camogie final takes place on the 14th September. This year its Cork v. Galway. The U-21 hurling final forms a double-header with this game. More details next week.

Well done to the Kilcoole representatives on the County Camogie squad which travelled to Tyrone at the week-end for the All-Ireland Blitz where they reached the final for the first time - Nicky Keddy, Niamh Donnelly, Roisin Mulford, Frances Kearns and Jessica Morrissey.

Seán O'Brien of Baltinglas goes to ground as Bray's Stephen Fox closes in during the Senior football championship quarter-final in Aughrim.
