Tenor Kearns to sing at Wick­low’s Grand Ho­tel

AN­THONY KEARNS of the Ir­ish Tenors re­turns to Wick­low in Oc­to­ber for a solo per­for­mance in the Grand Ho­tel.

It will be his first per­for­mance in Wick­low for ex­actly two years hav­ing sang to a packed house in Oc­to­ber of 2006. An­thony (pic­tured) is cur­rently on tour in the USA and re­turns to Ire­land this week hav­ing per­formed be­fore audiences all over the east coast for the past month.

He will be joined in Wick­low by lo­cal so­prano Lindsy Ah­erne, who at­tained a Bach­e­lor of Mu­sic (Hons) at UCD and a Diploma in mu­sic and per­for­mance teach­ing from the Royal Ir­ish Academy of Mu­sic.

She is cur­rently in re­hearsals in Dublin for the opera Sam­son and Delilah at the Gai­ety The­atre and has re­cently sung The Corona­tion of Pop­pea in Lon­don. The two soloists will be ac­com­pa­nied on the night by the ac­claimed pi­anist Pa­trick Healy.

Tick­ets are cur­rently on sale at the Grand Ho­tel and Earls Newsagents in Wick­low priced at ¤ 25.
