Mental Health Association to hold information evening on depression
AN INFORMATION MEETING on depression will take place in the Grand Hotel in Wicklow on Tuesday September 16 organised by Wicklow Mental Health Association.
John Wills from Aware will present the evening on behalf of the organisation that provides information and support to those affected by depression, their families and carers.
Depression is estimated to affect more than 400,000 people living in Ireland at any one time. People have a one in three chance of being affected.
Symptoms include sleep disturbance, poor concentration, low self esteem, lack of energy, appetite problems, anxiety, loss of interest in hobbies and in some cases suicidal thoughts or behaviour.

The information meeting is open to all members of the community and is free. It starts at 8 p.m..
