Family and friends turn out for Laurence’s 30th
LAURENCE SHAW, originally from Larne, celebrated his 30th birthday last Saturday night in the Porter House surrounded by family and friends.
His girlfriend Beth, from Shankill, as well as almost 60 other people joined in the fun, including a contingent from his hometown who travelled all the way to Bray for the party.
Laurence, who works as a carpenter, had the party organised for him by family members, including Beth’s brothers Patrick and Brendan in Shankill Tyres, as well as their nephew Joe.
His dad, also Laurence, attended the event and kept the troops entertained with his impressive opera singing. His mum Sheila was also there and had a great time. Beth and Lar have two sons, Liam and Patrick, who are aged 5 and 2 and were being looked after on the night by their aunt Catherine. The guests were well fed with a spread of finger food on platters and entertained by a DJ who kept them all dancing.
One of Lar’s old friends with whom he had lost contact in recent years travelled all the way from France to catch up with his old pal.
One of the highlights of the night was a beautiful cake with pictures of the two boys scanned on to the top.
