ANN DOYLE from Wolfe Tone, who enjoys life to the full at the best of times, had great fun at her 70th birthday last Friday night in the Esplanade.

Over 100 people came along to the party in the local woman’s honour, with regular match updates called out from the DJ box for the lifelong Bray Wanderer’s supporter.

Terry O’Neil of the supporters club did the honour as DJ and Master of Ceremonies for the evening. Her children Sandra, John and Ann were there with her on the night, with Fran who lives in the Philippines having phoned his mother to wish her many happy returns.

Grandchildren Rebecca, Rachel, Ricky, Jack and Jamie made a beautiful collage for their Granny, who was also delighted to see her friends from bingo, bowling and the Bray Wanderers supporters’ club there on the night.

Her cousin Valerie, who has always been like a sister to Ann, wouldn’t have missed the landmark party and travelled all the way from England with her granddaughter Vicky and Vicky’s husband-tobe Craig. Jack, who is 12 years old, surprised everyone with a speech he had prepared in honour of his wonderful Granny who shares his interest in football and brings him to all the matches!
