Round­wood host Cap­tain’s Day

ROUND­WOOD G.C. hosted their Cap­tain’s Day last Satur­day in glo­ri­ous sun­shine. The course was in great con­di­tion de­spite all the heavy rain dur­ing the week and a lot of the mem­bers turned out to play for their Cap­tain, Michael Cahill on his big day.

That evening, friends and mem­bers at­tended the pre­sen­ta­tion din­ner in the club where a good night was had by all. The whole event was spon­sored by Green18 Golf Shop in Sandy­ford and Michael pre­sented the over­all first prize to Eoin O’Neill who is also his god son.

A Clubper­son of the Year Award was also launched on the night and all present were de­lighted to see Gerry Kennedy win it due to his ded­i­ca­tion to the club over the years.

All the mem­bers would like to thank Michael for the way he rep­re­sented the club over the year giv­ing up a lot of his time to at­tend var­i­ous cap­tains func­tions dur­ing his term and wish in­com­ing Cap­tain Seán Mo­ran the very best of luck.
