Tony’s yer only man

Bray People - - Fundraiser In Aid Of Lesotho Project -

BRAY MAN Tony Hall, otherwise known as ‘I’m Yer Man’ building and roofing, managed to raise a massive ¤2,500 last Monday night at Barracuda.

He and the restaurant got together to hold the event in aid of the Lesotho building project. Tony will be heading off to Africa on October 9 with a team of builders to offer their services to help the needy over there. He said that this is something he always wanted to do and he is delighted with the success of the fund raiser. Over 60 people bought tickets to the event, with a portion of each donated to the worthy cause. There was music provided on the evening, which diners enjoyed as they chatted.

Tony also held a raffle and was very grateful for any prizes donated. He said that while he is required to raise ¤5,000 and some of his family members are continueing to collect money from people, any shortfall in the amount will come out of his own pocket.

‘I can’t wait to get over there now,’ he said. ‘I know it will be tough and very hard work but it will also be a wonderful experience.’
