23 charities benefit from CABS’ ¤27,000 fundraiser
CABS held thair annual presentation night in the Royal Hotel recently, having raised a spectacular ¤27,000 on this year’s walk from Wicklow to Bray last May.
The committee members were there on the night, including chairman Des O’Toole as well as walkers, friends and family members.
A total of 23 charities received generous cheques from the committee, including Bray and Greystones Cancer Support Groups, The Five Loaves, Rainbows Suicide Support and Kilcoole OAP.
At Christmas time the bus drivers and their associates plan to organise Santa Claus himself to take time from his busy schedule to visit St. Catherine’s school in Newcastle Hospital as well as the women’s refuge. A donation will also be made to the Five Loaves for their annual Christmas dinner.
