Why not brighten up the win­ter months by learn­ing to paint? A new art Class starts on Wed­nes­day 24 Septem­ber from 7.30 -9.30 p.m. in the Brock­agh Cen­tre. The medium is acrylic and wa­ter­colour and there is a fo­cus on teach­ing tech­niques. Con­tact Sheila on 0404-46952.

Co. Wick­low Adult Guid­ance Ser­vice will be in the Brock­agh Cen­tre on Mon­day Oc­to­ber 6 from 11 a.m. un­til 1 p.m.

The Co. Wick­low Adult Guid­ance Ser­vice is free, friendly, con­fi­den­tial, sup­port­ive and avail­able to all adults over 18 years of age.

This fa­cil­ity pro­vides a range of ser­vices in­clud­ing one to one ca­reer/ed­u­ca­tion guid­ance, in­for­ma­tion on all lo­cal and na­tional cour­ses, CV prepa­ra­tion and in­ter­view skills, study skills work­shops, in­for­ma­tion and ad­vice on ed­u­ca­tion grants, rights and en­ti­tle­ments.

The Go For Life (over 55s) will be back on Tues­day 30 Septem­ber at 11 a.m.. New mem­bers are al­ways wel­come to join us for tea, a chat, a laugh and some light ex­er­cise.

As most of you are aware we no longer have the free ru­ral bus for the Tues­day morn­ings due to a short­age of fund­ing but ar­range­ments are be­ing made to run the bus pri­vately and on the 30th we will look at ways that we can fundraise to sup­port the bus ser­vice, so get your think­ing caps on.

We would also ask the lo­cal com­mu­nity to sup­port any fundrais­ing ef­forts as the door to door bus is vi­tal for older peo­ple who can­not get to the Brock­agh Cen­tre on a Tues­day for the get to­gether.


The mo­bile li­brary will be in Laragh on Thurs­day Septem­ber 25 from 10 a.m. to noon.
