McHale se­cures Al­lIre­land kick­box­ing ti­tle

BRAY KICK­BOXER Julie McHale was crowned All-Ire­land Kick­box­ing Cham­pion when she took the 60kg full con­tact ti­tle in Co. Leitrim.

Julie’s op­po­nent was Stacey Do­herty from Belfast, North­ern Ire­land, who is a highly ranked kick­boxer and WKA World Cham­pion.

The ti­tle fight which was the main event of the night was sched­uled for 4x2 minute rounds, tak­ing a lead in each round Julie went on to win by unan­i­mous de­ci­sion, to re­ceive the cham­pi­onship and be­come All-Ire­land Full Con­tact cham­pion.

This pres­ti­gious ti­tle is the lat­est in a long line of awards and plau­dits Julie has earned through­out her kick­box­ing ca­reer. Rep­re­sent­ing Ire­land at in­ter­na­tional level since 1999, Julie also holds a re­mark­able four World ti­tles and three Euro­pean ti­tles.
