PHILIP ROTH­WELL must have been de­lighted to see the Har­vest Fes­ti­val meet­ing at Lis­towel get the go ahead last week as he sad­dled two win­ners in im­pres­sive fash­ion at the County Kerry track.

His 8 year old geld­ing ‘Jamies Choice’, a son of ‘Fle­mensfirth’ com­pleted a re­mark­able four-timer when winning the hand­i­cap chase on Wed­nes­day Septem­ber 17.

Roth­well com­pleted his haul on Fri­day Septem­ber 19 when Shane Jack­son part­nered ‘Ben­e­fi­cial Spirit’ to take the maiden hur­dle at 8/1 in a close af­fair.

The son of ‘Ben­e­fi­cial’ who raced in the colours of Roth­well’s part­ner Ni­amh Deegan, just held on to win in a tight fin­ish much to the credit of Jack­son.
