U-17 YOUTH Arklow Town 6, Greystones United A 2: Greystones suffered the taste of defeat for the first time this season and it was all thanks to Arklow, who could potentially dominate this age group again just as they did so impressively last year.

St. Anthony’s 9, Greystones United B 4: Greystones United B suffered their second successive last Saturday, this time at the hands of St. Anthony’s in what was a very high scoring game.

The Kilcoole outfit were just one goal short of hitting double figures and got off to a winning start in the league thanks to Shane Keogh’s treble, Brian Maher’s brace and individual efforts from Mat Gilbert, Matthew Ward, Kevin Chapman and Caomhain Laoide Kemp.

St. Patrick’s 2, Rathnew AFC 7: Rathnew got their U-17 campaign off to a good start with this convincing score-line and the three points.

Conor O’Leary and Patrick Kennedy both found the net for the home side but the visitors got the three points thanks to a fantastic four goal haul from Jody Merrigan and individual strikes from Dean Mooney, Shane Healy and the hardest working man in football; James Brown.
