Sadness at death of Breda
SCHOOL MOURNS ITS TEACHER OF 31 YEARS
THE RESIDENTS of Ardmore Crescent and pupils at Loreto Bray have been left bereft by the sudden death of maths teacher and Bray woman, Breda McGlacken-Byrne (pictured), whose life was brought to an all-too abrupt end after a short illness.
The heartfelt tributes poured in to family and friends as news of the sad loss spread across the town, those who knew her remembering Breda’s kindness, diligence and tireless devotion to both her family and her pupils.
Originally from Ballyshrule, County Galway, the mother-of-three had been teaching at Loreto for more than 31 years. She is survived by her husband Lorcan, children Sinéad, Aisling and Domhnall, her brother Tom, sisters Mary and Trisha and extended family.
Huge numbers of people joined the family at the Holy Redeemer on Monday morning to say their last goodbyes to Breda, who was laid to rest at Springfield Cemetery.
