UNDER the Revitalising Areas through Planning Investment and Development or RAPID scheme it has been announced that Bray will be the recipients of ¤150,000 from the government.

In Bray the RAPID housing estates are Fassaroe, Deerpark, White Oaks, Heatherwood, Ard na Greine, Oldcourt, Ballywaltrim Heights and Kilbride Grove.

The allocation of ¤ 150,000 for Bray will be matched by the local authority meaning that an investment of ¤300,000 will ultimately be made in RAPID estates.

This new scheme which has been approved to 2013 will ensure that those areas in most need of investment can rely on a stream of funding into the future.

‘Since RAPID was launched, Bray has continued to receive funding for a range of schemes that are making a difference in the local community. I know that this round of funding will also be well used by the local community’, said Minister Dick Roche on the announcement of the funding.
