Youth Club hosts triathlon

THE QUEEN of Peace Ad­ven­ture Youth Club held a triathlon for mem­bers, in­clud­ing kayak­ing, swim­ming and a walk up Bray Head.

Chair­per­son of Bray Town Coun­cil, Cllr. Ciaran O’Brien, pre­sented ca­noe­ing pro­fi­ciency cer­tifi­cates to mem­bers Aye­sha Fitz­patrick, Lee Hen­ley, Sean Hannon, Amy Tem­ple, Leanne Mohan, Ruiari Flana­gan, and Robyn Slater.

Triathlon Cer­tifi­cates were pre­sented to Amy Tem­ple, Sarah Tem­ple, Roisin Sheri­dan Bryson, Aye­sha Fitz­patrick, Oisin Duke, Ciaron Mur­phy, and Leanne Mohan.

Cer­tifi­cates were also pre­sented to Lauren Barry, Gavin Lind­say, Amy Tem­ple, Shau­nagh McKenna, Han­nah Gib­bons, and Robyn Slater, as well as Daniel Tre­anor, Gavin Eaves, Lee Han­ley, Sean Hannon, Eve MacCaughey, Conor Mur­phy, and Pearl Dut­ton.

Al­bert Kerr con­grat­u­lated every­one, and said that the oc­ca­sion proved that the spirit of ad­ven­ture was alive and well in the club. The or­gan­is­ers were Paul Tem­ple, John Glynn, Sinead O’Reilly, Sinead Dodd, Stephen Eaves, and Paul O’Reilly.

The Club bar­be­cue was or­gan­ised once again by Paul Dodd and the weather for the oc­ca­sion was beau­ti­ful, to the re­lief of or­gan­is­ers and at­ten­dees alike.
