A SECOND record and CD fair looks set to take place in Wicklow during January following a successful fair in the Grand Hotel last week.

The good weather meant organisers didn’t quite attract as many customers as first hoped, but things still went well enough to stage plans for a second fair soon.

The collection included everything from music from the 1920s and 1930s on 78s to everything that is current at the moment in dance, hip-hop, rock, classical, world and country music. Basically if you like a particular genre, then you were bound to find something to tickle your fancy.

DJs hoping to find that long lost classic record that would liven up their set mingled with old timers keen to track down some vinyl that they once owned but could no longer track down.

Usually three fairs are held over 16 to 17 weekends nationally, and the Grand Hotel should be playing host to another fair come the end of the year.
