Broth­ers in court

A PAIR of Bray broth­ers, one of whom is hear­ing im­paired, stand ac­cused of be­ing drunk and dis­or­derly. Brian and Ger­ard Dodd, 15 New Ard Cualann, made a brief ap­pear­ance at Bray Court.

Ger­ard also faces ad­di­tional charges of as­sault and ob­struct­ing a po­lice of­fi­cer. The mat­ter is be­fore the garda om­buds­man at the mo­ment and the DPP has re­quested that the state so­lic­i­tor be in­volved in the case.

Judge Mur­rough Con­nel­lan put the mat­ter back to Novem­ber 20 for hear­ing.
