Drunk had ‘relapse’
A MAN who was found by Gardai lying unconscious on the ground outside Clancy’s pub told Judge Murrough Connellan that he is an alcoholic who had a relapse on the day of his arrest.
Tomas O’Threasaigh, 61A Upper Dargle Road, was unable to stand and incoherent. ’He didn’t know where he was,’ said Garda Steven Allen, who arrested him on September 20 on Quinnsborough Road.
O’Threasaigh, who has 22 pervious convictions, spent most of last year in prison, he told Judge Connellan. The Judge adjourned the matter to December to allow the accused to make contact with probationary services.
