Turning on the style
THE GLITZ and glamour of the fashion world descended on Bray last Thursday night as Milan & Co held their annual Autumn/Winter Fashion Show. The event that is held twice a year in spring and autumn is not only an excuse to see what to wear this season but customers also donated money for a local charity, this years choice being Bray Lakers.
By 8 p.m. the boutique was filled to the brim with fashionistas from Bray and the surrounding areas.
Guests were treated to a wonderful champagne and chocolate reception.
At 8.30 p.m the models that included former Miss World and local Enniskerry girl Rosanna Davidson and also former Miss Ireland Sarah Kavanagh who strutted their stuff down the catwalk.
The intimate event saw this season’s favourites showcased from casual daywear to evening-wear and glamorous wedding- wear. There were also two new labels to the boutique unveiled.
The models wore fabulous shimmering beaded dresses by Blanc and unique day-wear by Pink Soda. During the interval a raffle was held for beautifully designed Quinn and Donnelly dress, coat and handbag.
All proceeds from the raffle went towards the Bray Lakers and guests donated the huge sum of € 1,000.
‘ It was really a fantastic night and we couldn’t have asked for any better as the Assets models showcased the pieces beautifully,’ said Susan Mullane owner of the boutique, ‘It was a very intimate catwalk show and the guests were delighted to be so close to the a former Miss World and Miss Ireland.’
Susan would also like to thank her staff that include, Geraldine Culliton, Fionnuala Kelly, Lauren Mullane and Katie Brandon-Byrne for making the night the great success that it was.
