Mum and son team up for charity night
FUNDRAISER SOUTH AFRICAN MISSION
THE CREAM of local talent will be out on October 12 in support of a local woman and her son who will be taking part in the Niall Mellon Building Blitz this November.
Naomi and Cameron Weymes are in their last leg of their fundraising for the trip to South Africa.
Following a very successful Golf Classic last June, the motherand-son team will be holding a Candlelight Evening of Entertainment on Sunday October 12 at Katie Gallaghers from 8 p.m.
This fabulous night of entertainment hosted by Lorraine O’Brien will see the crowd enjoy music from the ever popular Serendipity, an all female barbershoptype band.
Music and song will be preformed by Mia Parsons, Evelyn Campbell, Simon Bolger and Oona McFarland.
As though music wasn’t enough, there will also be humorous monologues and drama preformed by Frieda Hand, Emer Casey, Lorraine O’Brien and together Emma O’Brien and Jean Oldham.
The trip to South Africa will be a family affair for Naomi and Cameron as their team will include 10 members of their extended family from through- out Ireland. Naomi’s family have been very involved with the Niall Mellon trust for many years and have also been supporting a girl called Jessica from one of the townships.
As part of this special trip Naomi and Cameron will finally get to meet Jessica, something that they are very much looking forward to.
If enjoying a night of great entertainment while raising money for a well deserving charity is something you would enjoy then contact Naomi on (086) 3743077 for tickets or just arrive on the night. Admission is € 20.
The cream of local talent will support Naomi and Cameron Weynes on their Niall Mellon expedition to South Africa with a musical night in Katie Gallaghers.
