Sup­port lunch for can­cer pa­tients

AS PART of Breast Can­cer Aware­ness month, Bray Can­cer Sup­port Cen­tre will be hold­ing an in­for­mal lunch and get to­gether in the Es­planade on Mon­day Oc­to­ber 13.

Friends Up Front, the ded­i­cated breast can­cer sup­port group within the um­brella of the cen­tre will host the event which will take place from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

The lunch is sup­ported by Bray com­pany Ori­flame. Breast can­cer care vol­un­teers will be in at­ten­dance to an­swer any ques­tions re­gard­ing breast can­cer, mas­tec­tomy wear, cloth­ing or any­thing that may be con­cern­ing you.

The Bray Can­cer Sup­port Cen­tre pro­vides emo­tional sup­port and prac­ti­cal help to peo­ple af­fected by can­cer. Founded in 1990, the cen­tre op­er­ates a busy drop-in cen­tre on the Main Street.

Any­one who needs the ser­vice is wel­come to call in for a chat and cup of tea, to make use of the lend­ing li­brary or to par­tic­i­pate in a class or ther­apy.
