Tackling sui­cide through train­ing

CHARLES­LAND Golf Club is to play host to an Ap­plied Sui­cide In­ter­ven­tion Skills Train­ing (ASIST) two day course.

The train­ing aims to ad­dress need for ed­u­ca­tion and speedy in­ter­ven­tion in re­la­tion to sui­cide. The pre­sen­ters of the work­shop are Karl O’Reilly and Rachel Van Hoven who are both Pro­fes­sional Fa­cil­i­ta­tors with Aware.

The course will take place on Satur­day Oc­to­ber 11 and Sun­day Oc­to­ber 12 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and costs €100.
