LARAGH FIRST RESPONDERS
Our Cardiac First Responders Group in Laragh are looking for some more volunteers to join their group to continue to assist the ambulance service within our community.
At present, we have six members and ideally we would like to have 10 members on our rota in order to continue to supply a 24-7 coverage. Anyone interested should either ring Sheila on 087 2121522 or speak to Frank Evans for more information.
We would like to take this opportunity of thanking both Eileen and Gerry Patterson, who have retired from our group recently, and we wish them the best of luck and a happy retirement! Eileen and Gerry have been members of our group since our commencement in February 2005 and Gerry has been our co-ordinator. They will be missed.
Since we began this project in Laragh three and half years ago, we have had approx 50 call outs and our response time is within 5 minutes of receiving the call from the ambulance service. It is of great benefit to our community to have this service and we would appreciate more volunteers to continue.
