Wasted journey for St. Patrick’s
DIVISION 2 Arklow Town B 1, St. Patrick’s 0: Four games played and it is Arklow Town who currently occupy the top of the pile after this narrowest of wins over Pat’s. The three points were secured thanks to Jason Collins. Avonmore FC 3, St. Kevin’s 0: St. Kevin’s stay at the top of Division will have been all too brief for their liking.
Eugene Dunne scored two goals and Oliver Byrne managed one as Avonmore secured their 2nd win of the season. Celtic Stars 2, Arklow United B 1: A hard fought match which saw three cards perhaps harshly issued eventually swung in Celtic Star’s favour.
Conor Byrne and Luke O’Brien both netted for the home side. Redbank United 1, Ballywaltrim FC 3: After getting their first win of the season last year Ballywaltrim FC travelled up to Redbank United and came away with another three. Stephen Murphy, Glen Joyce and Tarik Taha all netted for the visitors. Damien Kennedy scored for Redbank. St. Anthony’s B 9, Fassagh Row YC 2: Not a great day at the office for Fassagh Row YC last Sunday as they travelled down to Kilcoole and conceded nine goals.
The Bray side managed two goals of their own but it was nowhere near good enough to beat the home side who went goal mad.
Martin Gregory hit a treble, John Keogh a double, and Richard Woods, Mark Travers, Ross Hackett and Jason Walsh all netted singles as Anto’s go their first win of the new season.
