Ark­low Town U-16s take on Ire­land side

ARK­LOW TOWN Foot­ball Club are set to wel­come the Repub­lic of Ire­land Un­der 16 team to Bridgewater Cen­tre Park later this evening ( Wed­nes­day) for a friendly fix­ture be­tween the home club’s un­der 16 side and the na­tional team.

The na­tional side are due to un­der­take a four game sched­ule over the next two weeks as their prepa­ra­tion for the up­com­ing trip to Turkey.

This will be the third time the two sides have met at Lam­ber­ton with the two pre­vi­ous en­coun­ters both en­ter­tain­ing 1-1 draws. Ark­low go into tonight’s game with doubts over the avail­abil­ity of Dara Ver­ney and Jack Tim Mur­phy, the two play­ers side­lined for the past month with bro­ken toes.

Ad­mis­sion is free and a size­able crowd is ex­pected, kick off at 7.30pm.
