O’Neill an injury doubt for champs
DEFENDING county hurling champions Glenealy may well be without one of their top players Michael Anthony O’Neill for the concluding stages of this year’s championship.
The 37-year-old electrical contractor is doubtful if he will be ready to take his place on the team for the semi-final and final later this month after rupturing a joint in his right shoulder in a practice match last week.
O’Neill picked up the shoulder injury in a game against Kilmessan in Meath but fortunately subsequent ex-rays have revealed no bone breakages.
At the moment he is undergoing physio treatment in UCD as he battles to get back in action with his club in time for the remainder of the championship.
