Driver is fined to­tal of ¤450

ANEWTOWN­woman charged with a se­ries of traf­fic of­fences told Judge Mur­rough Con­nel­lan that she had ex­pe­ri­enced some per­sonal prob­lems.

‘This is a per­sonal mat­ter too,’ he told Jean Far­rell, 159 Sea­son Park. Far­rell, (18) who was fined ¤100 for fail­ing to pro­duce an in­sur­ance cer­tifi­cate, ¤100 for driv­ing without a li­cence and ¤250 for us­ing a ve­hi­cle without NCT.

She told the court that the ve­hi­cle did not be­long to her but to her boyfriend. Judge Con­nel­lan took in to con­sid­er­a­tion charges of non-dis­play of a disc and fail­ure to pro­duce a driv­ing li­cence.

Far­rell, who is in col­lege, said that she was do­ing her mock leav­ing cert ex­ams at the time she was pulled over.
