Grey­stones mo­torist gets four-year ban

A GREY­STONES man who failed to stop at a Garda check­point has re­ceived a num­ber of sus­pended prison sen­tences at Ark­low District Court.

Michael Con­nors with an ad­dress at 119 Charles­land Court, Grey­stones was charged with drunken driv­ing, fail­ing to stop for a Garda, no in­sur­ance, non dis­play of disc and fail­ure to pro- duce doc­u­ments at Bal­ly­cooleen, Avoca on Jan­uary 28 of this year.

Judge Mur­rough Con­nel­lan im­posed a three­month sen­tence for the drunken driv­ing, one month for fail­ure to stop and three months for no inus­rance. All sen­tences were sus­pended in the de­fen­dant’s own bond to keep the peace. A four-year driv­ing dis­qual­i­fi­ca­tion was also im­posed.
