Aoife is laid to rest
FRIDAY saw mourners from all over Wicklow paying tributes to Aoife King at a farewell ceremony in her Ashford home.
The popular 21-year old-student tragically died while on an Erasmus year in Budapest Hungary after being struck by a vehicle in a hit-and-run. She died three days after the incident with her family by her bedside.
Emotions were high at Friday’s farewell ceremony in Aghowle.
The large crowd then made their way to Mount Jerome Crematorium in Harold’s Cross. Her parents Jim and Noreen and brother Oisín asked that rather than bring flowers, mourners instead make a contribution to Bothar or GOAL.
